- I am strong-willed - both as a teacher and a citizen of the planet, I pride myself on strong values that have shaped me and make me the person I am today. I believe that my integrity to my convictions shines throughout everything that I do.
- I am caring - my number one priority is that children, and other adults, are safe, healthy and secure. I believe that mental and physical well being go hand in hand and are fundamental to all other aspects of education.
- I am curious - I love to ask questions and discover new ways to try things. I am developing my evaluating skills so that I am able to pick out the successful parts and discard strategies or activities that do not work.
- I am professional - deadlines are always met in a timely manner; I have high expectations of children in terms of behaviour and challenge; I speak to others in a polite manner and listen to their opinions with interest; I have demonstrated my commitment to the school by attending extra curricular events and working tirelessly to make improvements to Reception.
- I am creative - creativity is my passion and I believe strongly this also makes me able to solve problems in innovative ways. In my class, I encourage the use of imagination and creative exploration, as a means of self-expression and resourcefulness.
- I am flawed - I am aware of my weaknesses and strive to find ways to develop and adapt myself.
Testimonials from colleagues and parents
"I joined the school in September 2016 and Roni immediately made me feel welcome. She answered all of my questions about starting at a new school, helped me to understand our year group approach to Reception and gave me general guidance about life at School 21.
She has rigorously planned Phase meetings and shares the agenda in advance. As a result I have felt comfortable raising any questions I have about Reception at School 21 and always felt supported and listened to, even during more complex, potentially challenging discussions around matters such as teaching style.
When I fell ill in December, Roni again showed her strong integrity and compassion. I really appreciate her strong leadership in taking on responsibilities I have left behind in being off sick, such as planning, as well as making sure daily business for my class has continued as smoothly as possible. She has continually reassured me that all is well for my class and I feel better knowing she is there to take charge!
I am thankful for her continued support as a colleague. "

"Having known Roni in two different work environments I have always been influenced and inspired by her energy and work ethic. Watching her build on the ideas within her practice and cater to the individual needs of her children, whether that be developmentally or in terms of well-being, has ultimately contributed to my own practice today. Through CPD sessions I have noticed how deeply she analyses and evaluates issues discussed whilst striving to challenge. Her contributions are often a catalyst for forward thinking discussion. As a leader in her phase I have witnessed first hand how she is able to unite colleagues and build a strong foundation for her team. Ultimately, I think it is her passion and commitment which shines through the most."

"Since joining School 21, it has been impressive to see Roni develop in working with others as a team. She has learned to be more reflective and take on advice in order to work better with others, improve teaching and learning for the pupils she teaches and to build an overall better provision for the Early Years. Her first year with us, I feel was a journey as Roni began to understand School 21 as a unique setting with its own culture and although this takes some time for most people, Roni was able to take small steps, and continues to, to really think about the priorities of the school and how to adapt some of her methods to support it and adapt her teaching."
